Who We Are

Founded by Brenda in 2013

The story behind PAW B&B is both straightforward and deeply personal. Approximately 13 years ago, Brenda welcomed her beloved fur son, Bailey, into her life. His presence brought an immense amount of joy, and she found it impossible to imagine life without him. Soon after, Hailey joined the family, and before long, they had puppies. Brenda could not bear to separate them, but tragically, they lost Papo, one of the puppies, at just two years old. His untimely passing left Brenda devastated, struggling to find joy and even to leave the house.

In an effort to cope, Brenda began offering "dog nanny" services to family and friends. Word quickly spread, and from that point forward, she found herself dedicating her time to caring for other people’s pets. This work quickly became more than just a service—it was a passion and a natural extension of the love she had for her own animals.

Her prior experience working at two dog hotels provided the inspiration to launch her own pet care business. In its first year, Brenda gained over 300 returning clients, a remarkable achievement that continues to humble her. What began as a bold leap in her 50s has blossomed into the realization of a long-held passion that has spanned more than 13 years.

We Are Brenda & Bailey !

Brenda Marie is the eldest of four sisters from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She was raised by hardworking parents who shaped her values. Her father, a truck driver turned successful bakery owner, taught her the importance of perseverance. Her mother, a devoted homemaker, instilled in her the nurturing qualities she carries today.

Brenda worked as a nail technician for 7 years in a high-end hotel before traveling and becoming a pet parent to Bailey and her other furry companions.

Today, she’s grateful to spend her days with her own fur babies and the pets of her wonderful clients.

Dog Trainer

Brenda Villamarin is our passionate and dedicated team member, originally from Colombia and now calling Tampa, Florida, home for the past five years. With a background in criminal investigation as a detective and Colombian police officer, Brenda has found her true calling in caring for animals.

As a dog mom to two adorable adopted puppies, Brenda’s love for animals shines through in everything she does. With over 4 years of experience as a pet groomer and pet sitter, she has had the privilege of caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, both locally and globally.

Her 5-star rating on Rover is a testament to her dedication and affection for the animals she cares for. Brenda’s commitment goes beyond grooming and sitting; she is also a passionate animal rescuer and volunteer for animal protection foundations, both in the United States and abroad.

When Brenda isn’t caring for pets, she enjoys spending quality time with her two furry children. Her love for animals and drive to make a positive difference in their lives is truly inspiring.
