Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2025

Paw-BB (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website https://paw-bb.com (the “Site”) and online booking services. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1) What we collect

  • Booking & account info: name, email, phone, pet details, services selected, notes, and appointment time (via our WordPress booking system, e.g., LatePoint).
  • Communications: messages you send us (email, forms, SMS).
  • Payment info: handled by our payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser info, cookies, and logs used for security, fraud prevention, and site performance.

2) How we use data

  • Provide and manage appointments, reminders, and customer support.
  • Send transactional emails (confirmations, updates, receipts).
  • Improve our services, troubleshoot, and secure the Site.
  • (Optional) Marketing messages with your consent—unsubscribe anytime.

3) Google services & email sending

We may connect an email service to send transactional messages (e.g., booking confirmations). Depending on configuration, this can be:

  • SMTP using a mailbox (e.g., our domain email), or
  • Google (Gmail) connection using OAuth scopes limited to sending email (e.g., gmail.send) or full mail scope if required by the mail plugin.

When Google is used: Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, we do not use it for ads, and we only use it to send the emails you request (e.g., booking messages). You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5) Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us run the Site and services, such as:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure (e.g., our web host), WordPress, and plugins (e.g., LatePoint, mail/SMPP/SMTP plugins).
  • Email delivery and/or Google (if connected).
  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal).
  • Analytics/security tools (if enabled).

We require vendors to handle data appropriately and only for our purposes. We do not sell personal information.

6) Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies for the Site and booking to work. If analytics or marketing cookies are used, they run only with appropriate notice/consent where required. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

7) Data retention

We retain booking and account records for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal/record-keeping requirements. Email logs are kept for troubleshooting and compliance for a limited period.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., TLS in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise rights, contact us at the email below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11) International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12) Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Policy.

Comments

Suggested text: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Suggested text: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Suggested text: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

Suggested text: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

Suggested text: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Suggested text: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Suggested text: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
